The primary goal of natural medicine is to address the underlying cause of illness, rather than simply treating or suppressing symptoms.  The patient is viewed holistically and a qualified practitioner takes the physical, mental and emotional dimensions into account when assessing a case.  The theory, practice and management of cases according to classical homeopathic therapeutics is intended to develop a comprehensive treatment plan that is unique to each patient.

Scott is an honours graduate of the Loyalist School of Health and Human Studies, Ryerson University, the Canadian College of Homeopathic Medicine and the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto. His current interest and specialization in holistic health involves learning disabilities and related disability studies research.  Disability studies is an interdisciplinary field of research which is relatively new, but offers unique insight to the experience of people with disabilities, and alternative perspectives on social corollary and impairment.  Disability studies research includes a broad scope of literature and intersects other disciplines such as women's studies, aging, employment, health, inclusive education and other more defined areas of inquiry.  Scott's primary area of interest involves research related to inclusive education and learning disability.

CAM practitioners are regulated in the Province of Ontario under the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA), and Homeopaths more specifically, under the College of Homeopaths of Ontario.  The use of Homeopathy is sometimes combined with other CAM treatments or with conventional medicine and termed Integrative Medicine (IM).  Integrative medicine, conventional medicine and other CAM therapies typically reflect patient choice and willingness to explore a number of options to attaining whole health.

As a researcher, educator and healthcare provider, Scott welcomes you to ask questions about holistic approaches to health and wellness.  He can be contacted at 416-559-4469.  Initial consultation is free of charge.  Fees apply to formal case-taking and follow-up appointments.
